About Maguire and the position
Maguire is a growing footwear and accessories brand founded by two sisters with a mission to make designer-quality products more accessible. Designed in Montréal and sold directly to consumers through our boutiques and online store, we are entering an exciting phase of growth with new markets, new stores, and ambitious plans ahead.
Reporting directly to the founder and head of design, you'll own the full product lifecycle: from trend research and collection planning to product development, purchasing, pricing, and performance analysis. You'll work closely with our European manufacturing partners, marketing team, and retail teams to bring each collection to life — on time, on brand, and on budget.
This role is ideal for someone who combines a strong sense of style and creativity with exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Collection Planning
-
Conduct trend research and market analysis to inform seasonal direction
-
Develop seasonal product strategies aligned with company objectives
-
Build collection architecture and product assortment plans
-
Create seasonal moodboards, color palettes, and product stories
-
Define seasonal product priorities and key launches
-
Ensure consistency with Maguire's brand identity
-
Manage the product calendar
Product Development
-
Create tech packs for the factories
-
Coordinate product development with factories and suppliers
-
Select materials, colors, and finishes
-
Manage sample development and approvals
-
Approve the fit of the shoes
-
Maintain product documentation and technical files
Merchandising, Buying & Performance
-
Analyze sell-through, inventory performance, and key KPIs
-
Identify reorder opportunities and manage replenishment strategies
-
Participate in pricing decisions, negotiation, and margin optimization
-
Support vendor negotiations and costing analysis
-
Prepare orders in collaboration with the management team
-
Help manage Open-to-Buy budgets
-
Coordinate transportation and logistics from manufacturing partners to warehouses
-
Prepare reports and use data to improve assortment, pricing, and inventory decisions
Product Launch
-
Collaborate with marketing to ensure products are presented accurately across all channels and to coordinate launches

Ensure product information and imagery are accurate
-
Collaborate closely with retail and e-commerce teams
Profile
-
Degree in design, industrial design or fashion management or related fields
-
3+ years in product development or merchandising
-
Experience in buying, inventory planning, or OTB management an asset
-
Experience in footwear or accessories an asset
-
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
-
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management
-
Excellent trend forecasting and market awareness
-
Ability to balance creativity and business objective
-
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
